Shine through Art Tea Day

The holidays are upon us once again.
I received a Thanksgiving card in the mail yesterday,
and while admiring it this morning,
I am having a cup of Yerba Mate tea.

The card was made by Krystal, age 16, Houston, Tx.

This card celebrates the artwork
created by young patients
in the Children's Art Project...(CAP)
The Art Project is
part of the Univ. of Tx.
MD Anderson Cancer Center,
and it gives kids with cancer
the chance to shine through art.

I think art is essential for children.
Kimmie has more links to tea posts,
so go visit her at

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Savor the Day!

Hi Yvonne, I agree - art is essential, especially in any of the healing arts. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your visit and kind words. penny

I love children's art. And how nice to get a Thanksgiving day card in the mail :)
I'm betting that you make your own yerbe matte tea .... Something that I ought to try. Now that I'm familiar with chai tea (I even made my own spice mixture) I am feeling very adventurous .... Although I always start my day with Irish breakfast (now that I don't drink coffee anymore)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love the card. Always nice to get cards and letters in the mail. I was just talking to some gals yesterday about how it seems as if its becoming a lost art. Sad really.

Lovely card. Such a wonderful project.
May I ask you how you knew about Yerba mate tea? It´s the first time I´ve found somebody mentioning it on line. I´m Argentinian and it´s kind of our national beverage. :)

It is always so special to get a handmade gift. How wonderful for the children and for the receivers of their art work. I was also pleased to see the small strainer with the loose tea. Last week my tea "ball" got stuck together and I could not get it apart. I was going to buy a new one, but saw your post and realized that I have a small strainer also!
