Labyrinth

I'm so happy with our prayer labyrinth at the church. When I first thought of putting one on the grounds I didn't know if it would ever happen as we are such a small church, only about 8 active members or so. But we received donations of materials and labor and it was done! The sign is up and people are walking! I've walked it myself several times.

I have walked several labyrinths, my first being the Desert Light Labyrinth in Arizona. I plan on walking more. Why don't you check your area for one as they are for all faiths and are in private and public areas for all to enjoy.

Oh, by the way, some anonymous person carved the center stone for the labyrinth and placed it there for us. Isn't that wonderful.

How wonderful to have one outside of your church. Our local hospital has a canvas one, that they put down in the chapel, during the week, for people to use.
In winter after a good snow, my husband makes one using the snowplow and then Murphy and I can walk it together. :)Bea

Yvonne, I love your labrynth. I think I will see if I can find one nearby. I know in the fall some farmers carve them into their corn fields. I think it is wonderful your church has only 8 members. How intimate.
I'm doing well, really glad I don't have deadlines to meet right now. Susan

Yes, Bea, it is outside and you can see how dry it is right now, no green grass at all. How wonderful for your husband to make one in the snow for you to walk. That's a blessing.

Susan, I'm so glad you are doing well. I hope you do find a labyrinth to walk as it is very soothing to the mind.

I had never heard of this until you first mentioned it awhile ago. How wonderful, peaceful and so spiritual.
