Savor the Day

Sunrises are one of my favorite things.
Sunrises on the water are even better.
This photo was taken early one morning
on the Texas coast
near my home.

The wind is still,
the air is warm
the water calm,
as it often is around sunrise.

Sunbeams shooting across the sky.

Salt air aroma
mixed in with the smell of rain.

Night insects quiet now,
but still I hear
Nature sounds all around.
Songbirds singing,
pelicans and herons fly by,
 hardly flapping their wings.
Fish jumping,
no fisherman around.

Take it all in.
Savor the day.

I can feel the warmth through the computer...the sky guides our hearts. I LOVE the colors in the paper/or is it fabric? in your header! Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Hugs for the peaceful calm today.

Mary Helen, my header is a piece of paper that a friend gave me. She is an artist and was just experimenting with some inks she told me. I thought it appropriate for my blog title...Inkspillers Attic. :)

Thanks for stopping by Pam. Yes, the Texas skies are beautiful aren't they. When they say wide open spaces, they are talking about Texas!

Some day I will actually get there to see you and we can sit by the water, drink a little wine and savor the day.
