PPF--staying loose

I missed Paint Party Friday last week.
I did finally get around to visiting some of the artists
later that weekend.
I am always blown away at the talent out there.

Visit Paint Party Friday by clicking
on the logo in my sidebar.

Here is my submission for this week's party.

I'm still trying to stay loose,
not blend too much,
do something different each time
and have fun.

I'm off at an artist retreat later today.
The entire watercolor class is going,
so it should be fun.
Will share photos next week.
Savor the Day!
Yvonne

Hi Yvonne. Happy PPF to you. Your painting is just wonderful. There is some sadness to it. Deep intense thoughts are going on. I love the colors. Thank you. Have a great weekend.

p.s. Have you ever heard of the painter Philip Burke? This painting has a similar quality to it, but a watercolor version... I love what you did with this. (I watched him paint live once... very cool.)

Oh I'm in LOVE with this! The colors are gorgeous. Her face is awesome. I love this loose style; especially the dripping down the sides. It's a beautiful painting!

Beautiful work! I like the use of colour and the expression you captured in her face, a mixture of emotion of deep thought and feeling blue.

I'm so glad you were back this week- I missed your lovely POP of color that you always bring to the party (a bit like opening champagne?) Anyway, sorry I'm so late, it was my birthday this weekend and things were crazy busy because of it!
I love your lady- how loose and free she is, and as always brought to life with your wonderful palette.
Hope to see you next week :)
