Sights, sounds and tastes of Summer

It's Tea Tuesday
and I have missed many blogging tea posts lately,
but that doesn't mean I've missed my tea.
Cook's Country on PBS recently voted Tazo black tea
as the favorite in their taste test for iced tea.
I will have to agree.
I also love Tazo teas for hot tea in the mornings.

Today is the longest day of the year,
and to celebrate
why not try this recipe of mine ...
iced or hot!

Summer Solstice sun tea.

1oz. Red Raspberry leaf
2oz. Rosehips
2oz. Hibiscus
2oz. Orange Peel
2oz. Lemongrass
3oz. Peppermint

Visit Kimmie for some more tea posts today.

Turtles Hatching...

Yesterday, I was watering my flower bed,
early in the morning,
and to my surprise
out comes some baby turtles.
I counted seven,
but there may have been more,
as some were already quite a distance away
from the nesting hole they made
to make their exit.
They were not much bigger than a quarter.

I left them alone
and each one went out in a different direction,
to points unknown.
Good luck little guys!

I hear the summer cicadas already,
so enjoy the tastes, sounds and sights of summer.

Savor the Day!
Yvonne

Tazo is great!! So lucky you got to see emerging baby turtles!!! I try to keep track of where "our" box turtles "nest" but, have not been lucky enough to ever see any babies! Thanks for sharing. Drop by for tea today, if you get a chance.

Your tea recipe sounds delicious!!! I never think to make my own blends .... And I know you do it quite often! I think I will copy and paste your "recipe" to my files!

If I saw baby turtles at my feet I don't know what I would do! Well grab my camera I guess - like you obviously did! Wow what a sighting! I did find a frog clinging to the glass window on my front porch one time! Un-frog-ettable :)

Happy Tuesday Yvonne! I'm so glad you could join us! xoxo, Kimmie

Yay! Turtles! We've seen many turtles lay their eggs here but I've never gotten to see them hatch and crawl away. What a treat!

TAZO is one of my favorite...almost any blend will do. There AWAKE is great for hot or coldttea...and for home blends.

How delightful to be able to see/watch the baby turtles. That's enough to AWAKEn the child in anyone!

Happy tea day!

What an amazing sight and you got to witness it. I'm really impressed! I'm going to have to get some Tazo tea because everyone I know says it is awesome and also makes great art fodder. Happy Tea Tuesday and Summer Soltice.

You have truly been blessed with the babies...they are gifts to our spirits and our Earth. I did drink my iced tea today with a good dose of probiotic "good belly" juice. Cooling and refreshing! Peace, Mary Helen

Cool! Turtle midgets! I have a baby hoppy toad at my front steps and had tree frog polliwogs in my bowl bog. But no baby turtles. Lucky you, Y!!
