From destruction to art...a hurricane and a fire

Hurricane Ike came through and hit Galveston in 2008.
Over 4000 trees were broken and/or completely destroyed,
along with much devastation of homes and businesses.
But the stumps of many of the trees
were soon turned into art.
Leave it to artists to bring out beauty from
just about anything.

Here are a few stump art photos that my daughter Amy took.





In 2011 there was a very large fire in central Texas,
near Bastrop.
