Poem

I ran across a wonderful poem tonight, while looking at Susan Leschke's blog, Threads of Inspiration . Susan is a wonderful doll maker, so please take a look at her blog. Tonight I noticed she had a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson, who is one of my favorites. It was in a book she found at a library book sale. It was in a chapter called Sewing. I had to share it with you all. It reminded me to still enjoy the little things each day, don't worry about yesterdays, and that tomorrow is a new day. I will try to remember that each day.

Finish everyday and be done with it

You have done what you could.

Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in.

Forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit

be encumbered with your old nonsense.

This day is all that is good and fair.

It is too dear with its hopes and invitations,

to waste a moment on yesterdays.

---Ralph Waldo Emerson
