The sweetest song....and a bird brained idea??????

Each morning I love to listen to the melodious birdsong
that comes from my backyard.
This morning I heard something different...
I watched and finally saw several red breasted grosbeaks.

The song of the red breasted grosbeak

is similar to a robin's, but sweeter...

almost like a "robin in a really good mood"
someone once said.

"I don't ask for the meaning

 of the song of a bird

or the rising of the sun

on a misty morning.

There they are,

and they are beautiful."

The next visitor to my bird bath was a black headed grosbeak...

Then a first spring hooded oriole...

All have very lovely bird songs.

Now what do you think of this?????

It may sound like a bird-brained idea,

but the mayor of a Mojave Desert city in California

 wants to brighten the streets

 by broadcasting recorded bird songs.

There is scientific proof that

listening to birdsong makes people happier.

Good idea or no???
