I just got home from visiting
a lovely place.....
Asheville, North Carolina.
Yes, I think of art, mountains and trees
when I think of Asheville.
Many lovely things, but those are
ingrained in my memory forever.
When I returned home I had to do some art of my own,
so I painted this.....
...to remember my trip.
Savor the Day!

Your painting is absolutely wonderful Yvonne - I actually thought it was an altered photo at first. Good job!!
Oh Yvonne, this is beautiful! It has a focal point, beautiful and harmonizing color, composition, and warm emotion. Sorry, my art school days come out sometimes. I could have just said it has everything. That about covers it. Lovely!
That is absolutely beautiful! I feel like I was there :)
P.S. LOVE your colorful sprouting paint brushes.
Wow, Yvonne, that is such a beautiful watercolor!
Lovely. A great way to remember your trip.
Beautiful! And I like the paintbrush garden in your new header photo too!
So beautiful, Yvonne! One of my best friends lives outside Asheville. And my aunt is just a couple of hours away in Boone. Lovely area! Best wishes, Tammy
It is on my list of places to visit since I am in THAT neck of the woods!! bet it was fabulous to give you such great inspiration!
I want to thank you for visiting my blog, even when I didn't have time to return the favor. I love your painting. You have such a magic flair with paint and drawing.
I tried to catch up, too. It is horrible about the Texas fires, but I'm glad to see there is some growth returning to this ravaged area.
And I agree. Who doesn't love trees? I remember when a company wanted to bring their truck into my driveway and wanted to cut (annihilate) the branch that extends across it. I wouldn't let them because it would have put the tree out of balance, which would have been bad for the tree. I saw what happened when the neighbor cut a portion of his tree away. It caused problems whenever the wind was in the wrong direction.
Again, thanks for visiting. I always appreciate it.
Beautiful! And what better way to remember what you saw with your eyes?
Absolutely gorgeous :)
