Writing on the Wall

Today my fun friend Karen and I went to lunch

at the popular local eatery.....

Young's Pizza.

It was my first time there!  :)

Since I am fairly new to this area btw.

  Karen told me the story

about HER name (from the 70's) being upstairs somewhere,

(you can see the circular staircase in the backgrouond).

The most famous and distinguishable feature of Young's Pizza

 - other than their extraordinary pizza and the patooties-

are the walls and ceilings of the restaurant.

They are completely

 - and I mean COM-PLETE-LY-

 covered in various scrawls of pen, paint,

and marker,

of visitors' scribbled names and messages

 all throughout the restaurant.

Their one rule is.....

NOT to write on the tablecloths

or on the face of the mural of the school mascots.

  There are also old drawings, old letters,

vintage school memorabilia,

old photos, old posters, and even the nose of

an airplane crashing through the ceiling

(sorry no photo of that)

Some walls, ( like in the women's bathroom ),

 are papered with the

funny papers (comics).

Young's Pizza is the place to go for great food.

 This is one of the best eating spots in town

and it's where all the locals go,

and have for many years. 

I will definitely go back.

It's fun, it's unique, it has great history,

it makes everyone smile,

and of course has great food.

It's one way to....
