Angel Quotes

I made these little wooden angels many years ago. They are getting pretty worn and their hair looks like they just woke up and are still little sleepyheads. Every year it seems I have to replace what they are holding. So this year they are holding nature items sent from friends. I truly believe in angels and wanted to share some of my favorite angel quotes with you.

Flowers have spoken to me more than I can tell in written words. They are the hieroglyphics of angels, loved by all men for the beauty of the character, though few can decipher even fragments of their meaning.---Lydia M. Child

Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of heaven,
Blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels.
--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow "Evangeline"
Ever felt an angel's breath in the gentle breeze? A teardrop in the falling rain? Hear a whisper amongst the rustle of leaves? Or been kissed by a lone snowflake? Nature is an angel's favorite hiding place. --Carrie Latet

Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it.
Happy holidays to all, however you celebrate the season.
I wish you all PEACE!

I have my angel sitting on the end table by my couch. She has the little spiral wind chime necklace. I love her.

What a nice post - and thank you for your comments on hand quilting. I totally agree about the idea of the slow cloth and shall find an easier wadding to quilt through! x

They are wonderful and so are the quotes.
I had a set of nine china angels that held candles. We would set them on the window sill and Christmas Eve light the cangles. One child was always in charge of keeping an eye on them. Finally, the job fell to my youngest child.
At 11 she was still a flutterfly. I hear someone gasp, looked in their direction and saw the window curtains on fire. Mary was found later, playing up in her room, bored with the entertaining of old relatives. It's a story my family LOVES to tell. :)bea
