Indian Summer Trip

Today is Veteran's Day.
Please remember all those who serve(d).

Today is also the beginning of
Indian Summer.
The weather is beautiful here
in south Texas.
Texas, being as big as it is,
is quite diverse in its weather.
I will be going to
the Big Bend area
with my sister on Friday.
Just for about a week.
It has been reaching
30s-40s at night in that area,
but then 60s-70s during the day.
So, they say it is the best time to go,
as summer is quite hot there.

Until I return next week...:)

I wanted to leave you with a few photos
I took the other morning...
and a new quote I found.

This is a stained glass window I brought back
from England many years ago.

"People are like stained glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in
their true beauty is revealed
only if there is light from within.
---Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Savor the Day!

What a wonderful nest! Do you know what bird belongs to it? I love all the additions to it.
Have fun, with your sister. :)Bea

Bea, I do not know what kind of bird's nest this is. At one time there were 3 little eggs in it. The eggs were white and on one end had brownish red spots on them. Never saw any birds come around though. The nest is kind of close to the ground. I really don't have a clue.
