Tea and Books go together

A Vintage Tea Party
by
Angel Adoree
is the next book on my list of books to buy.
I also recently ordered
Centering..in pottery, poetry and the person
which was recommended to me by Cheryl Dolby.
Visit her blog to see what books she herself has written,
( I think I have them all )
and to see the sculpture and other beautiful things
she creates.

Happy Tea Tuesday!
This morning I'm reading
while I am having a cup of
 gunpowder black tea from India.
The little tiny rolled balls of tea leaves
explode when the hot water hits them
and exposes the large tea leaf.

Don't you think tea and books go together?
What are some of your favorite books?
I'd love to add them to my list.

Visit our host Kimmie at
and the rest of the tea bloggers
for more great Tea Tuesday posts.
Each one has unique and beautiful things to see
and to read about.

Savor the Day!
Yvonne

I have just put that book on my list over the weekend, so great minds think alike... I sooo believe that tea and books go together and over the weekend I read the Descendants and it was fantastic... it was recommended to me that I read it before I see the movie and I enjoyed it so much I kind of don't want to see the movie now, even though it has George Clooney in it...it was that good...xx

Thanks so much for the link back Yvonne. Your tea cup, stacked books, beautiful lamp and lovely textured painting in the background make for a very inviting reading atmosphere~

I so enjoy the vignette you have created here, and would love to find that tea you purchased. It sounds like it would be fun to watch the balls explode.

As for books, right now I am reading everything I can get my hands on about design theory and "spring" cleaning my house and yard. Not a good recommendation for books and tea, I fear. But your choice sounds perfect for a tea break.

I definitely think tea and books go hand in hand. Quite time curled up with a cup and book...can't beat it on a chilly or gloomy day.

what a beautiful & warm photo of your tea book stack! and that lovely piece behind it, is that one of your paintings??? makes a beautiful vignette...i am currently enjoying books by michael d. obrien...he is classified as a 'christian' author but his writing surpasses that pigeonhole...the way he develops his main character in each of the 2 i have read is beyond compare...island of the world was the 1st one i read...i'm just completing a cry of stone...happy tea day, yvonne
