Gypsy Soul? Mover or Stayer?

I have always heard
that Americans are moving house
more than any other country.
Why are some of us
 'restless and rootless'
put it?

I possess a
gypsy soul
as I am prone to
wandering
and just can't seem to stay put.

I found the perfect necklace...
a hammered silver spoon
with the words
'gypsy soul'
stamped into it.

So,
are you a mover
or a stayer...
and why?

Continued saga on
my 'moving gypsy soul'
coming soon...
in future posts.

I'm really trying to....

Savor the Day!
Yvonne

I love traveling and seeing the world, but would much rather have one place to call "home". We've been in the same apartment now for nearly 12 years and it is the longest I've lived in any one place my whole life. :) Very pretty necklace. Hope you are having a great day. Tammy

Oh, I'm a stayer. I hate moving house and do it as infrequently as possible. Alas, no gypsy soul for me.

I think I am a stayer...I love living in the woods with God's creatures. I love the spoon necklace! Peace, Mary Helen

I've been wanting to move since I got here. That's been over 35 years.

I am starting to purge stuff so I don't go into a panic should we ever actually need to move.

I hope that you are not moving away.

SMiles,
Teresa

I would say I am a gypsy soul. I have lived in two states, six cities, and three countries, and we're not military either. Every move is a new adventure, and I always make peace with my new surroundings--like accepting the heat in Texas!!
The hardest part about moving is what to do with the "accumulation of stuff, so much stuff." If you want to get rid of some "stuff" let me know (lol).
You'll be missed, and thanks for teaching "us" how to dye fabric, and make art quilts.
Bon Voyage*^*

I'm a stayer. I like to think that I could be a gypsy but I'm pretty sure I couldn't. Esp now that we have kids. Even when they are living their own lives independent of us, I think it would be hard to pick up and leave. Maybe if they both abandon us in different directions then I will feel differently.
I would love to take an extended vacation somewhere though....or travel all over the country in a motorhome. Of course, that money tree needs to take root. ;)
