Garden Stroll

 My pink hibiscus is blooming...
This is the same plant that was trampled on
and eaten almost to the ground,
by javelinas, neighbors sheep, and more....
all before we built our fence.
I transplanted this lone surviving hibiscus to a pot,
and to my pleasant surprise,
it's blooming.
How about that!!!!

This pretty orange flower is
Mexican Flame Vine.
A friend of mine told me,
"Since we live close to Mexico,
any plant that has the word Mexican in it
will grow well here."

The pot that is laying over,
in front of my
Mexican Feather Grass,
is spilling out with
a pretty pink flowered little plant
 we call Ice Plant.

What's blooming in your garden today?

Savor the Day!

I love the tipped pot in your garden. I tried this with a strawberry pot last year...it didn't do so well. Love the look of it though....flowers spilling out.

So beautiful!!
Right now my roses are looking super great! I planted some hot pink last year and they are blooming and looking like they've been there for years.

Yay for the hibiscus survivor. The Mexican flame vine is a show stopper. Your tipped pot is pretty, I like the idea of blooming ice plant. I have creeping germander in mine but it only blooms once.

That is one tough hibiscus!

Once more, as I wander through your garden, my memories return to California, which is the first and only place I've ever seen ice plants. Out there, homeowners use the ice plants to help retard fires around their entries.

It's been fun joining you in the garden, and just as much fun reading that you have resuscitated your hibiscus!
